A Stranger Saw My Vagina And I Saw A Ghost

3am, I wake. Sharp pains. Nausea.

Husband and children are sleeping.

Perhaps it’s just a false alarm.

3.15am and my husband wakes. My screams of agony as I crawl around on all fours at the foot of the bed have disturbed him.

3.30am and I’m vomiting into an empty ice cream tub.
